Re: VCTF-GooYoubeta2k10beta2

Love the bio assault rifle. I am really digging the bio tank. I can't believe how much the faster pali helped cap flags. Go in there with a team, distract, grab the flag and drive the pali back to base backwards.. really great. One thing I would love would be a button that would fill the other team...

Re: New version of AntiTCC on server

I get a huge amount of these lines written over and over to my local UT2004.log at every match start, It locks up my client for around 70 seconds whenever I join a map, then about 10 seconds on every midgame scan (same errors thrown repeatedly on either). I guess it's better than the server crashing...

Re: Pictures folder...

It really helps too if you have a lot of screenshots :D In my screenshots folder for 2010 (i archive it yearly) I have 573 screenshots so far, including my automatic screenshot at the end of each match. (i forget the exact setting, but that's in user.ini also, lots of stuff epic included in ut2k4 bu...

Re: Pictures folder...

Yeah, definitely don't move that folder. I'd assume that if you took a screenshot and the folder was missing, that the shot would simply be discarded. I doubt it would go into any temp folders. If the UT coders were smart, they'd code it so that if the game found that folder missing, it would recre...

some slow downloads

I did a clean install and cleared my cache...it had gotten over 40 gigs and most of it was pretty old stuff on servers long gone, but on trying to load maps there's some packages that download really slowly. (not on the redirect) Mostly it's ECE packs and stuff that was included in the DVD version o...

Re: I feel nostalgic

We used to play online with multiple computers (3-4) on a single LAN, all sharing one install on a central file server. Played like that for years and never had an issue. If you do want a new cdkey though, buy it from GOG, they're cheaper and though they're digital download it's DRM free so you can ...

Re: UT Extractor

Not exactly a necro, since it's a sticky. :D Another way to do this would be to set PurgeCacheDays to 0 in ut2004.ini (under [Core.System]), which turns off cache deletion. Doing it with a cache extractor is nice because you can copy it between computers (great for a spur of the moment lan party), b...
