Info about McCain

Post by COKEDUDE »

Take a look at this. Well I've been leaning towards Obama for awhile, and now I'm leaning towards him a lot harder. McCain makes me absolutely sick after reading this. McCain is so filthy rich he doesn't even know how many houses he has.

lol, you don't like a candidate because they're rich???

Obviously he did something you didn't that was pretty damn smart to get so rich eh?

As for not knowing how many houses he owns. Maybe he's doing less studying on his own personal wealth and spending more time on studying how to increase our wealth as a country?? =D Because we obviously aren't doing very good, check our national debt clock. http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

If you wan't more taxes and power to the government, and more foreign oil vote for obama. (which means hella more debt)

although in the end, money doesn't make you happy, or a good candidate. i beleive McCain is a genuine person. He was a P.O.W. for serving our country, and a genuine christian.

honestly, I still dont know who Im going to vote for. I dont think this country needs anymore handouts, and Obama seems to think otherwise. He also wants to raise the cost of doing business, and tax investors further(not just short traders).
However, obama would change the world view of the US(Lets be honest, hes half black. Thats the only real reason why he has a shot at the presidency so early in his career. Most people want to get behind something as monumental as the first black president. I do)
Hopefully he'd also loosen the stranglehold our government has on science.

McCain, however, is a war hero. Has a long career in government. Wont raise the costs of doing business. Wont bring us closer to socialism(we are a blend of capitalism and socialism. We have the right balance now..) during an economic downturn. Would keep the idea that if you work hard and go to college, that you will be successful.

However, hes the "old white guy candidate". It wont be easy for him to change the world's perception of the US. In fact, it will give the European nations more ammunition to further the stereotype that Americans are 'fat, racist, white people that only look out for themselves'. Can't tell you how much that pisses me off, we do a lot of good for the world...despite current circumstances. http://www.america.gov/st/washfile-engl ... 97553.html

Well, good point.

FACT:
If we don't vote for Obama because he's black. that is RACIST
If we do vote for Obama because he's black. that is RACIST

I don't care about the color of the skin. If the best candidate's skin color was rainbow, he would have my vote.

And as for the europeans view, they can suck a fat one. Not only do we do good things for the success of the whole world. But we are just about the ONLY country that extends a hand to help our allies. One of the main reasons why we are in so much debt is because we've extend a helping hand.

We don't have to worry about what other countries think of us, we've PAYED our dues in world war 2 and MANY other circumstances and continue to do so even in our current crippled state of being. The Europeans should be worried about what the US thinks of them.

We have about 4,200 deaths of our own military in the war on terror in Iraq, trying to better their people. And i think we should have been out of there a long time ago. Although, I would like to see Osama Bin Laden DEAD for killing all those people on 9/11

In order for us to help other's, we have to be able to help ourselves. It's about time to get our economy back in check.

That website is complete crap. Most of those facts are irrelevant when it comes to choosing the president of your country... OMG HE'S THE SON OF A BLACK MUSLIM. OMG HE DIDN'T HOLD HIS HAND OVER HIS HART!!!!. That just adds biasing to uninformed people, just like the original post of this thread.

Both candidates are now playing politics. They are going to attack the other candidate's personal life. Why should we worry about stuff that will not affect us 4 or 8 years down the road. We should be looking at the bills they have passed, their position on Iraq, Iran and gas prices, health care. McCain has no plan to provide universal healthcare to Americans. Can we really wait another 4 years (when the political climate may not be nearly as favorable as it is now) to do this?

Let's not play innocent and go with the candidate that you'd want to have a beer with after work. We did that with Bush 8 years ago, look where that got us.

You don't care how the europeans and the rest of the world view us? Well, just try flying anywhere oversees and say where you're from. The first thing that will pop in their little minds is BUSH!. How is Bush viewed abroad?... I'll let you answer that question.

Here's a sample of what you'll be seeing over the next four years.

That website states all facts. But they are pretty irrelevant to the election. That website was made to inform people the TRUTH about some of the stupid political stunts against Obama. Such as people have said he's muslim, which is a lie.

If you want an actual political standpoint from that website, read the editors note.

IDC how Bush is viewed abroad. That's like saying if all the cool kids don't like you cause you don't smoke weed, you're gonna go smoke it under pure pressure. Well the reason we're a great country is because we have the right to think for ourselves. I gaurantee most of Obama's fan base are some kids that just turned 18 and saw an snl episode making fun of bush, or the republican party. Or kids like cokedude, who hate McCain just because an article said he's rich. Completely MISLED ( no offense coke <3 )

Although I do want the US to be viewed better from Europe, even though they haven't done shit for us, other then send us a fatass statue in New York. I think it's time we start worrying about ourselves. So it all comes down to what will be done for our country.

And like i said. Obama = more taxes, less individual freedom (MORE DEBT!!!). Do we need another bill clinton in office? check our national debt clock.

http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

In then end the president has a small impact on the country. A great leader is NOTHING without a great team, "so it's not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"

My solution?? Get PRO at UT then join the air force, and teach them to be pro at UT and play UT FOREVER
ahahahahahaha j/p

So having the government take over health care for everyone is the pressing issue? Come on....it will end up like social security. I spent 10 years in the military and some of that working with civilian government employees. Of the hundreds I worked with, *maybe* 10% were worth their paycheck. When it comes to health care, I would prefer a private solution. I don't even like that my employer tells me where I can/can't go to seek medical treatment based on their relationship/kick back with health insurance companies. Leave that decision up to the individual. But wait! Individual, lol. Individual rights are being stripped away from us because too many people in this country don't want to man up and take care of themselves or their families.

Gov't is too big and they can't manage themselves.
People want the gov't -- who can't manage their own programs -- to take care of them also.

OK, enough of my rant. I hate politics and don't trust any politician as far as I could throw them. Some are better than others but in the end its all about keeping their job.

Not a republican anymore after Bush... I didnt vote for bush after first term and decided to change to democrat at that time. That said, I still dont like the democrats... couldnt stand how they supported bush after 9/11...

Moving on, I really like Obama and actually like McCain too... After watching the last church meeting between Obama and McCain, McCain is winning me over... Obama seemed to not answer the questions asked and continue with his rhetoric that has gained him his popularity. McCain did much better... I am still not decided, but I doubt that I will vote Republican... I hold grudges and for me, that is a hard thing to overcome as it is a principal that I hold to gain my loyalty as a voter, customer, friend, etc...
