You don't have to do it, but it will save you time between maps on my server. Also depends on you connection. Maps generally don't take longer than a minute at most for me.

Lol, I didn't realize when i put those links up. That's like 3 1/2 gigs of downloads! You can get by with just the patches for now so it doesn't really take another week

I downloaded both... came down pretty fast, about 10 minutes each.

Your redirect is insanely fast. I get 1.5MB on it. Unfortunately there is a disparity between connections. For some people the map downloads take forever. If you haven't had a problem with the map waits, I wouldn't worry about downloading the map pack. A 60MB map takes me under a minute personally.
