Mic problems

Well, I dunno where this topic should go, but I am having trouble making my mic work in the game, had the same problem before when I was around, I need to know what the commands mean, one says activate mic and then there's public, and team and another one, how do these get set up to actually work? do you have to "activate mic" AND push team or public? or something.. I can't seem to get mine to work and I am SURE I am doing something wrong hehe

I have mine set up for mic activation "H"
Public"L"
Team"F"

But when you switch in between Team And Public go "HL" or "HF" and once that is selected...only press the "L" or "F" to talk on that channel...And when You are talking it will say

For Example...And you need to hold the key down to talk..."L" "F"

Yeah it is hard to read....lol

With your mic it might be your settings in your volume control were your mic might not be on there or on mute. (I know I had that problem before.)
Then for in-game there is 2 for text chatting either public or team and the same with
Voice chatting.(maybe someone else will be a better help but I always had issue's with mine
before also.)

But now I just copy my UT file to another HD for backup so when I do a fresh install I don't have
to do everything all over again.

And don't listen to rimmer he doesn't know his ABC's

Ok so I didn't realize that I needed to push both buttons at once, maybe that's it, I have only been trying to hit either team, public or activate mic but never at the same time, maybe that's it, I guess there's only one way to find out =D see ya in game!

Just find what I'm good at?? Well that'd be UT3 haha I'm good at that =) It's just a much different game play so I'm sure it's really just getting used to stuff, it'll come, if I'm able to give enough time to it =) I do enjoy playing with you guys tho, I guess that's why I came back hehe
