VCTF-[Id]-Daedalus

First thing, a note: I like everything that I have converted or made to be listed together in the map vote menu. I will be the first person to say that I did not make something from scratch when if I did not. Although Daedalus is not my map, I spent a lot of time converting it and love the way it turned out. I want it listed with my other maps so when I look at maps I have worked on it will be listed there too.

I DID NOT MAKE DAEDALUS. A PERSON NAMED WORMZ MADE DAEDALUS AND ALL CREDIT GOES TO HIM. I ONLY FIXED IT UP A BIT, CHANGED IT TO NIGHT, AND REARRANGED SOME THINGS TO IMPROVE GAMEPLAY.

This goes for all conversions I have done.

Now, on to the map. One of the best looking maps I have ever seen. Daedalus is a foot and Manta run map. Daedalus contains a Goliath, a Hellbender, a Raptor and a Manta. There is not much that can be said to explain this map, you just have to play it to learn the layout. Here are some screenshots to help you along the way though:

This is a shot of the skybox I put in. It is the best looking skybox I have ever seen.

Maybe you shouldnt put ID in blue color
on those little jumps in maps that arent yours.
You might fruserate some people.
Just something I noticed, no offence!
You do some good work, I like the
changes you did in Torlan.

Them getting pissed at me changing a jump pad emitter would be the least of my worries. How about them getting pissed that I reworked their whole map or changed it to a different gametype? It certainly is not my goal to anger anybody in doing this, but if I do I do. Besides, Bean made those jump pad emitters for me and I plan to use them often.

Hope your not having to much trouble.
Ya, Torlan plays smooth like that, specially with manta runs :wink:

Oh yeah... I think i did see those "Id" jump-pads in Torlan... they suck!

edit:
On a serioius note, I really agree with Id. This is a fantastic looking map. The original authors creativity in carving this sucker out is just phenominal. Textures, statics and lighting are simple but effective and flow nicely. Id just brushes it off, but his choice for pick-up, and vehicle placement is top notch. Thought and care is taken. The night sky is a nice change. Looking forward to getting my ass kicked on this map :wink:

For some reason, I have problem downloading from File Front anymore. I don't know why, but I can't get the file.
