Sup folks.

FN Herstal (in real life) makes some of my favorite weapons in the COD series, like the FAL, the SCAR-H and SCAR-L, the P90, etc.
Just today I unlocked the Five-seveN in MW3, another FN Herstal specialty, and it is fucking awesome.
In other news, I encountered someone in a match named Rimmer, but it turned out not to be our good ol' buddy, but another person with the same name (different numbers after it). Oh well.

Anyway, out of curiosity, have you guys been picking out any clear favorites for weapons for different game modes, or seen any particularly popular ones?

I've noticed the UMP45 is still popular for some reason, and the MK14 and ACR are extremely common in Hardcore mode. Just today I popped a silencer on my ACR and what immediately followed were three of the best matches I've ever had. The MP9 and FMG9 are also quite popular.

The Five-seveN also earned me my second ever MW3 final killcam with a tricky headshot (the first was a double kill with an MP9). Great stuff.

We generally play kill confirmed (60%), domination(25%) and team defender (15%). Really like the new game modes.

My run and gun build:
Pri: P90 - red dot, long range
Sec: FMG9 - akimbo (loool)

My stay alive build:
Pri: Type95 - long range, acog
Sec: Rotates, but usually FMG9 - akimbo

Also been playing around with the MK14. Silencers nerf the weapons too hard in this one, which I guess doesn't apply to hardcore.

They really need to fix the accuracy of akimbo at medium range as it's way OP.

New build which is pretty similar to my old ninja build in MW2:

UMP45 - Kick, Silencer
G18 - Silencer

Holy shit, I've been using the MK14 quite a bit, and it's AMAZING on Hardcore. Consistent one shot kills, body or head, silenced or not. The only time I've seen it not kill in one shot is through surfaces, but that's not a huge deal either. It's amazing.

Just made a ninja class and it's pretty dominant in kill confirmed. First time I've played around with specialist streaks. Fun stuff.

Primary - MP7 Silenced
Secondary - Scorpion Silenced

Extreme Conditioning Pro -> Assassing Pro -> Steady Aim Pro

Specialist:
Sleight of Hand Pro: 2 kills
Quick Draw Pro: 4 kills
Stalker Pro: 6 kills

Resistance, defend C. Lockdown, defend A. Under my guidance, they are untouchable.

I've also been using the FAD quite a bit, now there's a nice assault rifle for Hardcore. Nothing will ever replace my good ol' trusty SCAR w/ underbarrel shotgun, but the FAD and MK14 (each with a Hybrid Sight) make for nice close seconds.

I tweaked my MP7 class a bit; switched to Red Dot Sight since it doesn't help much, still using Range proficiency, and swapped the Stinger for a Desert Eagle.

Nice vid, ghosted. I just had a chance to watch it. I'm very close to unlocking the MP7... looking forward to playing with it.
