Do you get to shoot it often? I know ammo is like what gas used to be a few months ago...through the roof. I will have to travel at least an hour to go shoot...when I get one. There is an outdoor range to the Northwest of ATL that hosts AR shooting competitions. I look forward to competing.

Shit, I wish I could say it was mine personally. Technically it belongs to Army. I'm active duty Army goin on 5 years now.

Made by Colt. 3rd burst and single shot. 3rd burst is a hoot...specially with tracers. Always qualify expert with it. 40/40 or 39/40...although it's always pretty damn tough to hit a man sized target at 300m with open sights. The only one I ever miss is the 25 and 50m ones though.

As for how much I get to shoot it, not that often. But when we do, we put some lead down range-



First pic is .50 cal brass, second is 7.62. Didn't get any pics of the 5.56 bin. What you see represents about a months worth of ranges for a battalion. I'm in an artillery battalion that uses HMVEE gun trucks with 4 foot soldiers apiece, so they like to practice alot.

I spent 10 years in the AF with the first 4 in a ground TAC's unit (played more with Army & Marines then the rest of the AF). Four months in Desert Storm near the Kuwait border. Northern most semi-fixed comm station with scuds being blown up right above our work site raining down bits and pieces. Always fun.

I shot expert first time shooting the M16. Great weapon but it always took me so long to dial it in.

I have some A-10 Warthog 30mm shells from the gulf. Big suckers. I passed on the ones that carried the depleted uranium for penetrating those wimpy tanks.
