Community scrim team

Post by Beltamaxx »

Back at VCTF.com there was a team called the "Regulars", they were just a bunch of players that didn't have time, team or enough clan members to compete in private scrims. I was thinking it maybe a good idea to start a team here. Jim and I would be willing to help you with anything needed to get it up and running, for example:

TS or Vent servers
Private server to practice & play on w/prac maps.
Private forum space to communicate and organize.

There were several teams like this, some broke up and some became a clan.

If you're interested please vote. Also, a captain or captains will be needed to run the team. Post or PM me if you're interested.

Anyone here that thinks they are too "noob" or hesitant to hop in...please get a mic so you can communicate and get setup with the CTC Teamspeak. I am not the guy to be learning the pro skillz from, but I can share some basics and know what to do on most maps as far as setting up offense and defense etc. There's many guys here that would be willing to teach some things I'm sure and Teamspeak/Ventrillo is a great place to just hang with a bunch of UT addicts. Hit me up in msn messenger if interested - I can help get you setup with the CTC TS.

I know WHAT to do in maps - it's just my execution isn't so hot  working on it...

Whoever voted yes, please PM me or post, so we can start making the roster. At the moment we have 11 yes votes, this should be enough to get started.

You can reach me there or I'll just check back here. I do already have CTC Ventrilo setup.
If this is just going to be a bunch of noobs so clans can practice and beat up on them all the time then no thank you. I rather be in a clan thats doing the beaten.

No sir, our (CTC & DD) scrims have never been about ego building or beating down the opponent. It's been and always will be about fun first, organized competition second.

Absolutely true. Had a heck of a time last Sunday messing with these guys and was a great atmosphere of just messing around - nothing serious or too intense. These are the guys you want to be hanging with, Fluxx - no epeens to get in the way when we hook up. Also - this was mixed teams - we just played whatever team we happened to be on...pretty even matches on almost every map except on pillpoppers the team I was on got *****ed.

Thank you its nice to hear that from you Belta and WarDad71. Sounds like alot of fun and I like having fun.

Question my Ventrilo is setup and connects to server 2 it says. Is this the right one? I ask this cause nobody is ever there when i connect to it.
