Hey CTC gods, there's an issue with the server I've been meaning to address. People that try to help the losing team will get switched right back to their team since it will notice there's 4 vs 2 when that person switches. It will not wait for the other team to kill a bot and add a bot on the other team.

That's one, the other one which is a more freaky case is the one Belta found today as 4 people were put on the same team. This is all good and fun when there's two people playing against godlike bots, but four people on the same team? This seems to upset people quick and they'll just leave.

Yeah, I've noticed the first problem before. It's hard because the team balancing feature will consider bots in the balance, and will sometimes move them, or won't move them.

The second one I don't know what to do about. The only thing I can do it to remove the balancing feature altogether. If I do that, people can bounce around all they want with no problems. But, if I remove this feature, if someone types 'teams' is won't balance.

Give me your opinions on what to do. I actually had the team balancing feature turned off before, I just turned it on a few days ago. It is also easier to set up organized matches with it off, that way people can get themselves set up on the correct team easily.

Most people are pretty reasonable as far switches go when teams are unfair. I don't think they'll have a problem with this. So I'd say remove team balancing until there's a better sol'n.

Yeah, I'm looking at the settings and I think that's the best way to go. I'll make it official later tonight or tomorrow morning. I have to leave in a bit and will be out most of the night.

Ok, I've turned off any automatic team balancing. Now only bots will get affected, and they'll be added to the shorted team if and only if either team has less than three players. This is set this way because I've set the minimum number of players to be six. So if there are less than six human players, the bots will fill out the rest of the slots.

Maybe all CTC should default to blue? I seem to always get stuck on the other side fighting my Brothers!

Yeah, that's a good idea. Most of us are doing that now: Me, sal, papa, mike and I think Mudpuppet. I'm always fighting against void and that makes me sad because he usually pwns me!

That makes sense, unless everyone on the server is CTC.

I don't think I had one but I will set it to Blue then.

Can anyone confirm that this problem is fixed? I have not been on the server much for the last couple days, as I've been quite busy with work and other crap. So I was wondering if there is anymore input on this matter? Thanks!

Hey Jimmy, I was on the server for a minute today and I noticed there is no team balancing and people can hope on whatever team they want. On a game today there were 2 bots and 2 people on one team and 2 people on the other no bots. So this was a 4 on 2 game with the bots not going away. So in a way the problem is not fixed.

Didn't know were to post this at but we had a full house on our main server and i was unable to join.

I double checked and your unique ID is on the reserve list. I don't know why it wouldn't work. Do you remember how many people were on at the time? Were you on a different computer than you usually are? Let me know so I can look further into the problem.

same pc but there was alot of peeps at the time is there a limit?

I noticed that you can't join as a spectator and then join if full. You have to disconnect and re-connect as a player not a spectator. Just thought i'd throw that out there.
